DETAILS
Green Michigan, in partnership with the Muskegon Farmers Market, Organicycle, and the Community Foundation of Muskegon County, has expanded the compost drop-off program at the Muskegon Farmers Market to a 24/7 program due to grant funding. Space is limited to the first 100 households. To sign up to participate, please fill out the following form.
See the attached flyer for items that can be brought to the market for composting. Unlike backyard composting, items like meat, dairy, and bones can be composted with us. By recycling and composting, you can significantly reduce landfill waste.
MARKET DAYS
Green Michigan will have a booth at the market periodically to promote the program, sign up new households, and run the food waste recovery program. We will also have compostable bags and compost for sale.
DONATIONS WELCOME
Help us collect food waste, reduce contamination, and educate participants on the program. Your donation of funds or time helps expand this program and keep food out of the landfill. No composting experience is required. Please consider a monetary or time donation today.
We need volunteers. Please email Angela@greenmichigan.org to sign up for volunteer opportunities.
